NutriDesi is a WhatsApp-based calorie tracking service operated by Swapnil Gore as a sole proprietorship based in India. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What we collect

Phone number — your WhatsApp number is your account identifier. We use it to associate your food logs with you and to send replies.
Messages you send us — the text of food entries you send (e.g. "2 roti, dal, sabzi"). We store these to parse calories and maintain your daily log.
Calorie and nutrition logs — the parsed food items, quantities, and calorie/macro estimates we calculate from your messages.
Preferences — your calorie goal, portion size calibrations, and daily summary time if you set one.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or any data beyond what you send us on WhatsApp.
We do not use cookies or run any tracking on this website.
We do not read or access any WhatsApp messages other than those sent directly to our number.

Launch waitlist

If you join the waitlist on this website, we store the single contact detail you choose to submit (a phone number, email address, or Instagram handle) solely to notify you when NutriDesi's permanent WhatsApp number launches. Submissions are collected via Netlify Forms (our website host), are never shared with anyone else, and are deleted after launch notifications go out. To have your entry removed sooner, email us at the address below.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the calorie tracking service: parsing food entries, calculating daily totals, and sending you replies and optional daily summaries. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for marketing or advertising.

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate NutriDesi:

Meta / WhatsApp Business API — to send and receive WhatsApp messages.
Supabase — to store your food logs and preferences (hosted database).
Google Gemini / Anthropic Claude — to parse your food messages into structured data. Your message text is sent to the AI provider for parsing; no phone number or personal identifier is included in the AI request.

Data retention

Your food logs are retained as long as you use the service. If you want your data deleted, message us "delete my data" on WhatsApp or email us at the address below. We will remove all your records within 7 days.

Security

All communication between WhatsApp and our server uses end-to-end encryption (WhatsApp) and HTTPS. Webhook payloads are validated using cryptographic signatures. Database access is restricted to authenticated service credentials only.

Children

NutriDesi is not intended for use by anyone under 16 years of age.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via a WhatsApp message to active users.
